Fall Gear Arriving Everyday on Patagonia Website

New fall merchandise is going up on the Patagonia Website almost daily right now. They have a ton of new jackets and bags. One new jacket is the Primo Down Jacket, pictured above, priced at $600. Check out Patagonia.com for all the new stuff. (Photo from Patagonia.com)

$600?? wtf... Is it "buy one get one free"? I've always been one to say that you get what you pay for and that "patagucci" is often worth the extra expense... but this is pushing it!

BTW, I enjoy your blog. I have has a very similar experience to yours with the new critical mass bag, too. (including the purchase, complements and complaints!)

Yes, FCCO, I was taken aback by the $600 figure myself. This is new ground for Patagonia. I don't think they've had more than a couple of jackets over $400 in their company history, let alone over $500.

Honestly, since I've written the Critical Mass review, I've been thinking more and more about the drawbacks that I discussed and it's been bugging me. Lesser fabric for $21 more? That just doesn't make sense and I hope we're not witnessing the start of the decline of the legendary Patagonia quality. And frankly, I feel a little bit duped.
