Patagonia Winterfest: Kind of a let-down?

Disappointing--and I only say that because I really like the stuff that Patagonia has been producing (was my blog devoted entirely to the company's products/sales/causes a subtle tip-off?). I'm going to have to sniff out deals in other places and hopefully my sniffer is working well. High on my list is the Patagonia Down Sweater Jacket. I'm going to be eBaying my Patagonia Down Jacket very soon here (anyone interested, btw?) for the versatility of the Down Sweater and I was hoping to snatch up a great deal on the Sweater. I'm unable wait for the 2012 Winterfest as I have a trip coming up in April and the Sweater is going to be ideal under a good Rain Shadow (which I'm also hoping to find at a great price).
*Sniff...sniff...

Color and size of the down sweater? Also a huge fan of the Rain Shadow; it's been my go to rain jacket and outer windproof layer now for 2 years and can't say enough good things about it. I've sailed in it, skied in it, road motorcycles, mountain bikes and the "L" in it. Never let's me down.
Yeah, I second your thought that this year's winterfest was pretty beat. I also highly reccomend getting a down sweater. I bought one at the winterfest sale two years ago (was it $100 then?) and it is incredibly warm for its thickness (thinness?) and weight.
-Chris O, I have a Down Jacket (what is now the Fitz Roy Down Jacket) not the Down Sweater. My jacket is black, size small and it's really great, but it's too warm for the area of California in which I live. Good to hear nice things about the Rain Shadow. I think I'm going to go for one.
-Richard, yeah, I've never heard a negative word about the Down Sweater. That's definitely on my radar as soon as I eBay the Down Jacket. As for the sale, it was definitely disappointing though in fairness, Patagonia didn't really make a big deal about the sale before it started. I didn't get the usual postcard in the mail announcing it and I didn't see anything on thecleanestline.com announcing it either. So they probably anticipated having the sale on a much smaller scale. Kind of stinks for all of us though!
Thanks for reading and for the comments.
